Dog Show Training & Breed Handling

According to the American Kennel Club, your dog must be 6 months or older to compete in breed handling competitions and dog shows. In order to compete in conformation shows, your dog must not be spayed or neutered. Most importantly, the dog must be purebred and meet standard breed appearances.

Professional dog show training classes are offered at our Holbrook dog training and boarding facility. Our on-site expert will start at square one and work you and your dog through training courses designed to wow the judges when it’s time to compete. Being able to properly control and lead your dog through a show ring or course is important to the sport of dog showing. Every Monday evening for an hour, you and your dog will have a chance to acquire new skills as well as compete in match shows around the Boston area. Match shows are a chance for you and other breed handlers to test your skills before the big competitions.
