Summer is a great time for you and your new puppy to get better acquainted with each other, so why not spend some quality time together in a Puppy Kindergarten class at Canine College?
What is Puppy Kindergarten?
Puppy Kindergarten is the first exposure your dog gets to training. At Canine College, we provide a five week program that is built just for puppies like yours. The structure of puppy kindergarten is formatted to include play time, which is crucial for the development of your dog. At the end of every training session, the puppies of the group are allowed to play together!
What to Expect at Puppy Kindergarten
Canine College covers basic obedience commands while your puppy is on leash, including:
- Heel
- Sit
- Down
- Stand

Our knowledgeable trainers will be sure to tell you about grooming how-to’s that are specifically catered to your dog’s breed. There will be discussions about immunizations — which ones are essential and which are recommended but not required. Diet and exercise are also covered as it’s important to understand that puppies need one type of food, but their diet may change when they become adults. Other skills such as housebreaking and crate training are included.
