Private dog training is a great option for those who want their dog to have undivided attention. At Canine College, many of our dogs who are in private lessons are usually working towards something greater than just learning the basic commands.
What Private Dog Training Lessons Entail
Canine College’s private training lessons include a fire week course which is designed to address your dog’s problem areas. Whether they are having trouble with commands, aren’t social enough, or are aggressive, our professional trainers will work one-on-one with your dog for 45 – 55 minutes every day.
Certifications via Private Training
During the five week training course, your dog will be tested for the completion of the S.T.A.R Program, which tests your canine companion’s socialization, training, activity and responsibility.
The Canine Good Citizen is also another great test to work towards throughout the five week private dog training program. Best for all breeds of dogs of all ages, this certification is to tell others that your dog is a responsible and safe member of the community. Show others that your dog is great with humans and other animals!
Have you always thought your dog would be a great therapy dog but is a bit rough around the edges when it comes to a few commands? Our Canine College dog training professionals will help get your dog ready for visiting nursing homes and hospitals through private lessons. After the five week training period, you and your dog will pass a test in order to officially begin visiting those in need.

I am interested having my dog Chewie evaluated for therapy training
I have an English mastiff that is 6 1/2 and dog aggressive with dogs not in her home and very iffy with strangers, mostly males. She is very good off leash on hikes with me and stay right near me and listens to me as long as no other dogs are around. I also have a 1 year old puppy who need some manners. He is very hyper. He listens to a point. I was actually approached about him and him becoming a bomb/drug sniffing dog but I would need to give him up to a police officer permanently and I don’t want to give him up. How much do you charge for trainings?
